Rob Burgon is a professional pilot who recently transitioned to civilian life from 12 years of Active Duty military service. Rob is a combat-experienced fighter pilot with over 2,000 hours of multi-engine turbine time logged in the F-22, F-16, and T-38. The bulk of his military flight time has been logged as an Instructor Pilot. Rob has recently accepted a pilot position with a major airline and continues to fly fighters with the United States Air Force Reserve.
Rob is an accomplished writer with a growing repertoire. He is the author of Piano Burning and Other Fighter Pilot Traditions and has produced numerous flight training documents for a national flight school and the United States Air Force. Rob is currently working on publishing two aviation-related non-fiction works. He is also the co-host of Slipstream Radio, an aviation podcast covering the ins and outs of being a professional pilot.
